Daybreaker Responsibility
How to be a Daybreaker - Daybreak 101
Each Daybreaker should take the responsibility for the following on their assigned Friday morning:
INVOCATION: Another Daybreak Rotarian should be asked to give the invocation.
PLEDGE: Led by the Daybreaker.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Another Daybreak Rotarian should present the "Thought for the Day."
INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS & CONFESSION TIME: Performed by Sergeant-at-Arms.
PRESIDENT'S TIME: Announcements/Admonishments, etc…
WHO AM I PRESENTATION: (Daybreaker) Five to seven minute biography on yourself. Keep it short. Remember to allow enough time for your program!
Things you may want to talk about:
- Place where you were born and grew up.
- Educational achievements.
- Hobbies, favorite things to do.
- Children, Spouse(s).
- Involvement in Civic, Professional, Religious Organizations.
- Goals for the future, etc.
Please include the following VOCATIONAL information:
- Employer name.
- Job title.
- Brief description of your job responsibilities.
- How long you have held this position or worked in this field.
- Most rewarding aspects of your job.
- Most challenging aspects of your job.
PROGRAM (Speaker/Film/Performance/Other)
Arranged and introduced by the Daybreaker.
Programs should be arranged 30-days prior, for publication in the Perkolator.
Notify program chair so program can be given advance publicity.
Please remember to allow enough time for your program speaker or presentation.
Dismissal should be at approximately 7:45am.
ADJOURNMENT (President saaaaaaays) "OK, BYE, BYE."
BE A GREETER: Don't forget, the Daybreaker is responsible for greeting members at the door at the next two regularly scheduled Daybreak Rotary meetings.
