Bula, I have been here in Suva for a week now. Everything is going quite well. I met with my host yesterday, Kalpesh Solanki. He has been in Rotary for three years and this is his first experience with a Rotary Ambassadorial scholar. I wanted to meet him much soon than a week as getting settled would have been easier. I found a furnished flat on Wednesday, it is a neat place. There are four Rotary Clubs in Suva, I am with the largest and oldest club, Suva Rotary Club. I will get to meet the officers on Tuesday evening and we will go from there. There are three other R.A. scholars at the school. I have met two of them; one is from Maryland and the other is from Iowa. The campus is very beautiful and the classes are interesting. I am taking Linguistics, Introduction of Fijian and Introduction to French. Once I find a camera card, I'll send you some pics! Vinaka John
